Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026. This is a plain-language starting point — have counsel review it before launch.

This document is boilerplate provided as a template. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified attorney for your jurisdiction before you publish it. See also our Terms & Conditions.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Flavor in Product collects, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. We collect the minimum needed to run a safe community and to help members advance their careers.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information you provide (name, email, photo, location, role, experience, links). Content you publish (posts, projects, comments, event RSVPs). Transaction records for paid memberships, tickets, or courses. Technical data such as device type, browser, and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the service secure and reliable.

3. How we use information

To create and secure your account; to run the feed, community, summits, courses, and job board; to match you with relevant roles, events, and members; to process payments; to send service and community updates; to measure how features are used so we can improve them; and to enforce our terms and protect members.

4. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, on the basis of your consent (for example, marketing email), to meet legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, and product improvement.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with vendors who operate parts of the Platform on our behalf — hosting and database providers, community and event platforms, job-board providers, email delivery, payment processors, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our members.

6. Employers and sponsored listings

When you apply to a role or register for a partner event, the information you submit is shared with that employer or partner and is then governed by their privacy practices. We never hand member lists or contact details to sponsors.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as light or dark mode, and understand aggregate usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.

8. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Community content may remain visible where it is part of a shared conversation, unless you ask us to remove it.

9. Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your profile information from your account settings, opt out of marketing email at any time, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices to protect member data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

11. Children’s privacy

The Platform is intended for professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. International transfers

We operate in the United States and may process data in other countries where our service providers are located, using appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

13. Changes and contact

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@flavorinproduct.com.
